Kazakhstan forms pool of investment projects in energy for 17 trillion tenge

Kazakhstan plans to invest 17 trillion tenge in enhancing its energy sector. A pool of 60 investment projects has been formed, focusing on commissioning new energy capacities, according to a report from the relevant department. These projects include the construction of gas processing plants, the expansion of domestic refineries – in particular, to 12 million tons in Shymkent and to eight million tons in Pavlodar – and projects in renewable energy sources and petrochemicals. All of them will improve energy security, introduce innovative technologies at energy facilities, and reduce the negative environmental impact.
