Kazakhstan is expanding the list of model digital factories. The project is
designed to demonstrate in practice the effect of applying the Industry 4.0
technologies, as well as enable domestic enterprises to advance in the field of
digital transformation and boost their competitiveness and productivity.
Kazakhstan center for industry and export QazIndustry has previously included
seven enterprises in the chemical, food, processing and textile industries, as
well as machinery, geological exploration and other industries in the project.
As a result, a machine-building plant has implemented a unified digital
ecosystem at its production facilities which has facilitated the transparency
of the company’s activities in areas such as sales, marketing and customer
service. Also, a domestic gold mining company experienced tremendous benefits
as a project participant. Now the enterprise monitors the working hours and
downtime of its employees and distributes dump trucks to loading points in the
most efficient way in real time due to the dispatching of surface mining
operations. At the same time, a comprehensive analysis and evaluation of key
performance indicators (KPIs) is carried out. In the future, all project
participants will become a driving force for implementing digital technology
not only in their spheres of activity but also in others, according to experts.
