Kazakhstan continues digital transformation of science sector

12 types of government services in the field of science are now available online. Over 15,000 such services were provided in Kazakhstan by the end of 2024, with 95% in electronic format, as reported by the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovations and Aerospace Industry. According to the ministry, as part of the digital transformation - reengineering of 19 of the most in-demand business processes - their efficiency has increased by 70% through the improvement of several procedures. These include funding for scientific research, the issuance of accreditation certificates for scientific and scientific-technical activities, as well as incentives for scientists. Additionally, a single window of the national innovation system has been launched on the Astanahub.com platform. This allows scientists, developers, and researchers to access all key state support measures in one place.

«The single window of the national innovation system offers solutions tailored to different users’ needs, ensuring that scientists, startups, and businesses receive support and interact efficiently on a single digital platform. Within the Astana Hub ecosystem, startups have already emerged, developing products in the field of deep tech and having a strong scientific foundation. Some companies have successfully monetized their innovations, generating over 10.5 billion tenge and creating hundreds of jobs,» noted Kazakh Minister of Digital Development, Innovations and Aerospace Industry Zhaslan Madiyev.
