Kazakhstan and China are launching new investment projects. Modern facilities for the processing and energy recovery of municipal solid waste will be built in Aktobe, Atyrau, Karagandy, and other cities across the country. Similar facilities are already under construction in Astana, Almaty, and Shymkent. The prospects for further economic cooperation were discussed during a meeting between Kazakh Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov and De Biao Cao, President of China Tianying Inc. The company’s technologies comply with advanced European environmental standards and are backed by more than 20 years of industry experience. Bektenov noted that Kazakhstan-China cooperation continues to deepen thanks to the close engagement of the two countries’ leaders. To date, 77 projects worth more than $13 billion have been implemented under the bilateral partnership, while another 269 initiatives are included in the project pipeline.
