Kazakhstan, China develop cooperation in agriculture

Agriculture is one of the most dynamically developing areas of cooperation between China and Central Asia. Kazakhstan remains a key partner for China, serving as a reliable supplier of high-quality grain, flour, and oil. This was noted by representatives of the Chinese company Aiju, which has been developing joint projects with Kazakh farmers for nearly a decade.

«We currently import sunflower seeds from Kazakhstan for the production of sunflower oil. From your country, we primarily receive raw materials for sunflower, rapeseed, and flaxseed oils, as well as grain. Supplies mainly come from the northern regions of Kostanai and Akmola. Raw materials from Kazakhstan account for about 50–60% of our oil production, which amounts to approximately 2–3 million tonnes of refined product annually,» said Liu Zhiping, Deputy Director General of Aiju.
