Kazakhstan, Bashkortostan implement joint investment projects

The mutual trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Bashkortostan exceeded $380 million last year, with a significant potential for further growth. Kazakh Prime Minister Alikhan Smailov made this statement during a meeting with a government delegation of Bashkortostan, led by Prime Minister Andrei Nazarov, in Astana. The parties highlighted the increasing number of joint projects within the field of industrial cooperation. Thus, the localization of spring manufacturing in the Kostanai region is currently underway. Additionally, cooperation has commenced with a Bashkir soda company on two projects worth $716 million. Smailov emphasized that the Kazakh government is ready to provide all necessary support to Bashkir investors in project implementation. The meeting also included discussions on cooperation in agriculture, logistics, tourism and culture.
