The Days of Kazakh Culture are currently underway in the
capital of Azerbaijan. This event marks another step towards bringing the two
nations closer together, as well as strengthening and deepening their ties.
Aida Balayeva, the Kazakh Minister of Culture and Information, emphasized this
during a meeting with Hikmet Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan
and Head of Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential
Administration. The parties discussed the prospects for cooperation between the
two countries in the sphere of cultural and humanitarian collaboration.
“Given the shared history and historical code binding our
peoples, they have always celebrated each other's victories and stood in
solidarity during challenging times. The linguistic and cultural proximity
between us provides an opportunity to enhance constructive actions, relations,
and cooperation in all areas. In particular, in accordance with agreements
between our Presidents, the Days of Kazakh Culture in Azerbaijan will give a
new impetus to the cultural and humanitarian relations between our countries,” Balayeva
said.
As part of the Days of Kazakh Culture, Azerbaijani audiences
had the opportunity to listen to the blend of traditional and contemporary
melodies performed by the Hassak ethno-folk ensemble. They also enjoyed a
theatrical performance of ‘Karagoz’, based on Mukhtar Auezov’s tragedy of the
same name, presented by the Kazakh State Academic Theater for Children and
Youth, and visited an exhibition showcasing unique multi-genre works by Kazakh
artists. The grand event concluded with a gala concert featuring masters of
arts. It is worth noting that there are plans to hold the Days of Azerbaijani
Culture in Kazakhstan in 2024.
