Kazakhstan attracts over $8 billion in German investment

Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received German Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Energy Katherina Reiche. The Head of State noted that since 2005, Kazakhstan has attracted more than $8 billion in investment, with the majority directed to the non-resource sector. Today, more than 1,000 companies with German capital operate successfully in the country. The President also reaffirmed Kazakhstans readiness to provide the necessary conditions for the further expansion of German businesses in the countrys market. For her part, Katherina Reiche praised Kazakhstans achievements in socio-economic development and highlighted the strong potential for further cooperation between the two countries.
