The talks were held in both narrow and expanded formats. The Head of State noted that the visit will give fresh momentum to the development of the strategic partnership between the two countries.

«Armenia is one of Kazakhstan’s key political, trade, and economic partners in the South Caucasus. The Kazakh people hold deep respect for the Armenian nation, its ancient history, and its rich culture and traditions. Your country has become one of the most popular tourist destinations for Kazakh citizens. This year has seen a number of significant events that have brought our nations closer. For the first time, Kazakhstan Culture Days were held in Armenia, and a park was inaugurated in Yerevan in honor of the great Kazakh poet and educator Abai QunanbaiulyTokayev said.

Bilateral trade, economic, cultural, humanitarian, and scientific-educational ties between Kazakhstan and Armenia continue to grow. During their meeting, Tokayev and Pashinyan discussed prospects for further cooperation, including transit and transport, investment, subsoil use, agriculture, digitalization, the application of artificial intelligence, and healthcare. Last year, trade between the two countries amounted to $82 million, but this figure could rise significantly, with Kazakhstan ready to offer the Armenian market goods worth $350 million.

«We regard Kazakhstan as an excellent example for our country. We have great respect for the Kazakh people, and this respect forms the foundation for the continued development of our bilateral relations. Today, together with the President of Kazakhstan, we had the opportunity to discuss key areas for further cooperation. I believe that, given the changes in the region, new opportunities are emerging for economic collaboration and for strengthening transport links. I am convinced that the existing potential in the transport sector must be fully realized, as it will open new possibilities for usPashinyan said.

Indeed, the new geopolitical situation in the South Caucasus is creating favorable conditions for the expansion of bilateral and interregional contacts, particularly in the transport and transit sector, Tokayev noted. In November, the first shipment of Kazakh wheat, totaling 1,000 tonnes, was delivered to Armenia via Azerbaijan. Kazakhstan is ready to supply Armenia with high-quality grain and other products on a regular basis. Both countries are also committed to launching direct air services. Today, the President of Kazakhstan awarded the Order of «Altyn Qyran» to the Prime Minister of Armenia in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the development of Kazakh-Armenian relations.
