14 May 2026 in Astana, as part of the state visit to the Republic of Kazakhstan
by the President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Arken
Arystanov - Chairman of the Board of the Kazakhstan agency of International
Development "KazAID" and Abdullah Eren - President of the Turkish
Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA), signed a Memorandum of
Understanding in the field of official development assistance.
The document reaffirms the parties’ intention to develop cooperation in the field of international development, including the implementation of joint projects and programmes, as well as the exchange of experience and expertise.
The priority areas for cooperation have been identified as sustainable development, healthcare, and science and education.
