Kazakhstan and Oman set to intensify cooperation

President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received Omani Foreign Minister Badr al-Busaidi. During the meeting, Tokayev highlighted that Oman is a reliable and established partner of Kazakhstan, expressing his commitment to further enhancing cooperation between the two countries. The parties covered various areas of collaboration, including transport and logistics, agriculture, culture, humanitarian efforts, digitalization, and the launch of direct flights between Kazakhstan and Oman. The leaders also shared their perspectives on regional security and collaboration within multilateral organizations. Additionally, Tokayev conveyed his greetings to the Sultan of Oman and extended an invitation for a visit to Kazakhstan.

«Oman is a very respected country in Kazakhstan. There’s a huge interest to your country among businessmen, among the cultural people, as well as ordinary people. So, we need to give a strong impetus to make our cooperation more multifaceted and more productive,» the President said.

«We follow the development and we admire the range of policies and reforms that you have undertaken for this country, for your people. We admire the rate of growth in terms of your economy, your position in this part of the world, and important role that you play for the consolidation of good-neighborly relationships for peace, for security. And also we appreciate your foreign policy in terms of promotion of justice and for all peace and security and prosperity for all,» Badr al-Busaidi noted.
