A total of 35 Kazakh universities have
entered the QS Asia University Rankings 2025. These are Al-Farabi Kazakh
National University, Gumilyov Eurasian National University, Satbayev University,
Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University, Auezov South Kazakhstan State
University, Kazakh National Agrarian University, Karaganda Buketov University and
Khoja Akhmet Yassawi International Kazakh-Turkish University. According to the country’s
Ministry of Science and Higher Education, this is an absolute record in the
history of the country’s higher education. In total, 985 universities from 25
countries are represented in the rating. Notably, Kazakhstan is the only
Central Asian representative in the QS Global MBA and QS Best Student Cities
rankings.
