Digitalization of all processes, creation of new jobs and increased investment activity. Kazakh Minister of Culture and Sports Dauren Abayev told what changes have taken place in the tourism industry and what remains to be done. According to him, today this field is actively developing. He noted that a breakthrough solution was the launch of the E-Qonaq program, which allows you to keep a record of tourists in places of accommodation. This helps the migration authorities to receive statistics in real time.
“The system is working. I say it again, colleagues, people ask me a lot of questions, we are now discussing things that we have never discussed. We already have a package of stimulus measures, and we will supplement and improve it,” Dauren Abayev noted.
The minister summarized that the investment activity of business in the country is growing exponentially. Over 270 projects have been launched in ten regions of Kazakhstan over the past three years. Foreign-owned world-famous hotels and modern buildings are increasingly appearing in the country. Thus, such facilities as the Rixos Turkistan and Hampton by Hilton hotels, the Tetys Blu park, the Keruen-Saray complex in Turkistan and many others were built in Kazakhstan.
“For us, a tourist is not only someone who rests on the sea. We should evolve ecotourism, walking tourism, mountain tourism, and so on. We have to give the maximum number and let our residents choose. Yes, we understand that now the demand will grow. Investors also understand this. Domestic investors who want to build are building around all the sites. Cottage townships are currently being built and various boarding houses are being restored in Bayanaul,” the minister said.
There is no need to say how this affects the economy of the country. 60,000 new jobs will appear in Kazakhstan by 2025. The better the infrastructure – the greater the desire of tourists to visit the country. Last year, the British Backpackers Society put Kazakhstan in the top five must-visit list for fans of active eco-travel.
