Kazakh stunt performers took part in the film by the iconic British director Ridley Scott. The biographic movie tells about Napoleon’s rise to power. The film will shed the light at the French leader’s personal story and his climb to emperorship through the prism of his relationship with his wife Josephine. The film is scheduled to be released in 2023.
“Our guys practiced various stunts, mainly shootouts and fights, with no horses. The film crew had second thoughts at first because of our Asian origin; after all, we were supposed to play either the French, or the Cossacks, or the British. I sent to them a few photos of the guys with makeup on during one Russian film shooting. They definitely liked what they saw and were happy about this. “We know about your team and how strong you are, the stunts you perform are excellent,” they said,” noted Zhaidarbek Kunguzhinov, Director of the Nomad Stunts team.
The team has a lot of plans. Kunguzhinov said that negotiations are underway over the team’s shooting in several more projects. Over 20 years, the Nomad Stunts played in such films as ‘Mulan’, ‘The Expendables 2’, ‘47 Ronin’, ‘Mongol’, ‘Viking’, as well as Netflix and HBO series. The stunt performers collaborate with the leading studios of Hollywood, Bollywood, and also with Kazakh and Russian filmmakers.
