Branches of world’s leading universities to start training specialists in AI

The Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University and Seoul National University of Science and Technology (SeoulTech) will launch a joint program to train specialists in artificial intelligence architecture and data management starting from 2025. The program structure includes students spending the first four semesters in Kazakhstan and the next four semesters in South Korea. Upon completion, participants will receive two diplomas of higher education.

«A total of 100 state grants have been allocated for the joint program between the Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University and Seoul National University of Science and Technology. This provides students with the opportunity to study under the guidance of SeoulTech leading professors and benefit from the best AI programs,» said Nurlan Kulmyrzayev, director of the Institute of Artificial Intelligence.

According to school graduates, this program is an excellent opportunity for aspiring IT professionals.

«This year I graduated from school. I’ve chosen mathematics and computer science. I have an IELTS certificate with a score of 5.0. I would like to apply to the Institute of Artificial Intelligence at the Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University. So, I’ve chosen IT-related fields,» shared applicant Timur Dzhusarub.

It is planned to train masters and doctoral candidates in engineering and technical specialties at the branch of the Korean Institute of Advanced Technology. Also, Woosong University will open a large campus focusing on computer engineering and cybersecurity next year. Its graduates will have the opportunity to work in South Korea. Moreover, domestic scientists will be able to undergo internships at leading South Korean universities and research centers.
