Al Jazeera Week has kicked off in
Astana. Leading experts from the media giant will conduct training sessions for
students at the International School of Journalism of Maqsut Narikbayev
University (MNU). This initiative is made possible with the support of the TV
and Radio Complex of the President of Kazakhstan. The collaboration includes a
series of lectures on ‘TV News Reporting’, ‘Data Journalism’, ‘Digital
Storytelling’, ‘Mobile Journalism’, and ‘TV Presenting’. Thus, aspiring media
professionals will be introduced to the latest developments from this
international TV company and learn about the professional standards adhered to by
Al Jazeera correspondents. It is noteworthy that the media giant has
headquarters in Doha, London, Kuala Lumpur, and Washington, D.C.
“We believe that classes led by
representatives of a major international TV company will certainly have a
positive impact on our students. Participants will undergo training and then
present their projects, as the program includes both lectures and practical
sessions. Students will engage in a comprehensive process, including camera
work,” said MNU Deputy Chairman Yerbolat Mukhamedzhan.
