Kazakh scientists develop AI system for early detection of breast cancer

Kazakh scientists have developed an innovative artificial intelligence (AI) system capable of detecting breast cancer at an early stage. This advancement enables doctors to diagnose the disease more quickly and accurately, significantly increasing the chances of successful treatment and saving lives. According to the project leader, the algorithm analyzes mammography images and has demonstrated an impressive data accuracy of 90% or higher. This development marks an important step toward integrating intelligent solutions into clinical practice.

«During screening, radiologists perform diagnostic tests based on mammographic images obtained through ultrasound, CT scanners, and MRI. We aim to automate breast cancer diagnostics using AI. A pilot implementation in oncology dispensaries is planned for next year,» said Beibit Abdikenov, Director of the AI Research Center.
