Kazakhstan’s humanitarian aid arrives in India

The first batch of the humanitarian aid from Kazakhstan to combat the coronavirus infection arrived in India. The epidemic situation with the spread of COVID-19 in this country remains extremely difficult. India reports up to 300,000 cases of the deadly virus per day. The humanitarian assistance with a total weight of nearly 40 tonnes includes medical masks, respirators, protective suits and portable artificial lung ventilation devices made in Kazakhstan. The assistance was delivered to the Indian Red Cross. President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev instructed the Kazakh Government to provide the humanitarian aid to India at the beginning of this month. The arrival of the second batch is expected in the next few hours.
