For the
first time in Central Asia and the CIS countries, a Kazakh scientific journal
has been released on Elsevier, one of the world’s largest publishing houses.
The company approached the journal with a proposal to include it in their
database and electronic version. Experts say that publication on this platform
is a recognition of the international quality of scientific research conducted
in Kazakhstan. The domestic journal in English contains materials on research
findings in nuclear physics, alternative and hydrogen energy, and high-energy
physics, with each article enriching the Scopus information base.
«Why did
Elsevier choose us? I think the reason is that there are numerous scientific
journals published in Kazakhstan, including those on physics and mathematics.
The domestic mathematics journal has a high percentile ranking. We have a very
good editorial staff, which includes many renowned world-class scientists from
different countries. Publishing on the Elsevier platform is a tremendous
opportunity for domestic journals, as well as recognition of the Kazakh
scientific community,» said Kairat Kuterbekov, editor-in-chief of the
scientific journal.
