Kazakh President receives Türkiye’s highest state honor

Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received Türkiye’s highest state honor, the Devlet Nişanı, from President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan for his contribution to the development of cooperation between the two countries.

«I regard this high honor as a sign of deep respect from the Turkish side toward the entire people of Kazakhstan. This gracious gesture symbolizes the enduring friendship between our nations, which share common roots, religion, and cultural heritage. It also represents an important step that reflects the spirit of our shared values and underscores our mutual aspiration to further strengthen Kazakh-Turkish strategic cooperation,» Tokayev said.

The Head of State described his Turkish counterpart as an influential global leader who has made an invaluable contribution to enhancing regional and global stability and security. He also praised Erdoğan’s personal role in strengthening Kazakh-Turkish relations.

«We have achieved significant success in the trade and economic sphere. Our cultural and humanitarian ties continue to strengthen year by year. We also cooperate closely on the international stage. Astana and Ankara share a common stance on issues of global sustainable development and security. I would particularly like to highlight our effective efforts within the Organization of Turkic States. Today, we see great potential to further expand our bilateral cooperation and elevate it to a new qualitative level,» Tokayev added.
