Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received Pedro Vargas
David, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Euronews. During the meeting, they
discussed cooperation between Kazakhstan and one of the world’s leading
multilingual news broadcasters. President Tokayev emphasized that establishing
a Euronews regional hub in the country would showcase the economic, cultural,
and tourism potential of Kazakhstan and Central Asia to viewers worldwide.
Additionally, the media platform will foster dialogue between the countries of
the region and the European Union. The organization also plans to open the
Euronews Academy in Kazakhstan to train domestic journalists in modern
technologies and international standards.
