Kazakhstan's defense-industrial complex is developing
actively. Troops are being equipped with advanced weapons and technology, and
soldiers’ combat training is improving. President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, who is
also the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of Kazakhstan's Armed Forces, spoke about
this today at a ceremonial event marking Defender of the Fatherland Day. He
emphasized that bravery has always been a defining trait of the Kazakh people,
and that the traditions of military glory are passed down from generation to
generation. This year marks the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory. More
than 1.2 million Kazakh citizens went to the front, and over half of them did
not return from the battlefield.
«Home front workers devoted all their strength and energy to
the common cause. Thus, Kazakh citizens made an invaluable contribution to
Victory. This holiday of courage not only demonstrates how priceless peaceful
life, unity, and solidarity are, but also serves as an important lesson for the
younger generation. Security forces employees are worthy successors of valiant
ancestors. The armed forces reliably defend the country’s independence, peace,
and territorial integrity. Law enforcement agencies uphold law and order, while
special services ensure national security. The difficult work of rescuers is
aimed at preserving the lives and health of our citizens in emergency
situations,» Tokayev said.
The President emphasized that Kazakhstan is a peaceful
nation and maintains friendly relations with all countries. At the conclusion
of the event, he awarded the highest military and special ranks and presented
state awards to service members, rescuers, and law enforcement officers. They
are expected to serve as examples of loyal service to the Fatherland.
