Kazakh President briefed on indicators of socio-economic development

Measures to diversify the economy are yielding results. Kazakhstan's GDP growth reached four percent in the third quarter of the year as a result of the development of the non-resource sector. Increases in production volumes in the manufacturing industry have been recorded in 14 regions. Kazakh Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov reported to President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on the indicators of socio-economic development. Thus, foreign trade turnover exceeded $91 billion, with the share of exports increasing by 3.3 percent. According to Bektenov, the state budget received almost 15 trillion tenge. At the same time, efforts are underway to recover illegally acquired assets, with assets worth 265 billion tenge returned to the state. All funds are directed to socially significant goals, including the construction of cultural, educational, and sports centers, as well as support and rehabilitation for those in need. The Head of State instructed to intensify the work of the Government to ensure sustainable growth of Kazakhstan’s economy.
