Members of the Kazakh Parliament
are set to involve representatives from the academic community in the
legislative process. The initiative is already underway, with Senate members
having signed a corresponding memorandum of cooperation with Maqsut Narikbayev
University. As part of the document, the parties will provide advisory and
expert support in developing and promoting legislative initiatives. Senate
Speaker Maulen Ashimbayev emphasized that, in building a Just Kazakhstan, the
country needs laws of a new formation, while taking into account the opinions
of social groups.
“We believe it is necessary to
incorporate new tools and mechanisms into legislative processes. Project
management can serve as an effective tool. Through project management, we can
involve competent specialists in drafting legislative projects and develop a
series of new laws. We also anticipate that this approach will enhance the
relevance and quality of laws,” Ashimbayev said.
