Kazy entered the ‘Top 100
Sausages in the World’ ranking compiled by the online encyclopedia TasteAtlas. The
traditional Kazakh horsemeat sausage ranked 81st in the international food
guide, which contains information about dishes, drinks, and ingredients from
different countries. German Bockwurst and Swedish Prinskorv sausages took the
80th and 82nd places, respectively. The Portuguese Vinhais sausage claimed the
top spot. It is noteworthy that Kazakhstan is the only country from Central
Asia and the CIS whose dish was included in the ranking, which is based on the ratings
from website users. The platform was created to promote the culinary heritage
of people around the world.
