Kazakh Minister of Science and Higher Education Sayasat Nurbek set a task to make science popular again. During the Government’s meeting, he claimed that he will do his best to make the status of a scientist prestigious. On June 11, the Ministry of Education and Science was divided into two departments by the President’s decree. The Ministry of Education was headed by the former Minister of Education Askhat Aimagambetov.
“It is very important now to make science popular and interesting again, to make the scientific career a kind of a big career springboard. Look at all those Marvel films: Bruce Banner - the Hulk is a scientist, Tony Stark is a scientist. The main characters are scientists. We should return the status of a scientist as an innovator, as a person who drives and improves the world and our country,” said Sayasat Nurbek, Kazakh Minister of Science and Higher Education.
