Kazakh medical institutions to receive 150,000 doses of Sputnik V vaccine

The Karagandy Pharmaceutical Complex is set to produce a million doses of coronavirus vaccine per month, pledging to increase volumes next month. In early April, medical institutions in Kazakhstan will receive 150,000 doses of the Russian-made vaccine Sputnik V, which were produced in this complex.

“Overall, since the registration of the Gam-COVID-Vac vaccine on the territory of Kazakhstan, the Karagandy Pharmaceutical Complex has produced and delivered 208,000 doses of the vaccine, 115,000 doses of which comprise the first component and 93,000 doses – the second,” - reports the plant’s administration.

Experts emphasize the effectiveness of the vaccine from different strains of coronavirus. Kazakh residents have different opinions on this issue. Some believe that the vaccination is the best way to be protected from the infection, while others still do not trust the new vaccine.

“It is necessary to get vaccinated in order not to infect your relatives and other people with whom you communicate,” shares a city resident.

“If I am asked to come, I will come, because I don’t think that it would be worse,” shares a city resident.

“I don’t trust the vaccine yet, it has not been tested. It’s still early, there is a little information,” shares a city resident.
