Kazakh Prime Minister Alikhan
Smailov and First Deputy President of China’s CITIC Construction Yang Jianqiang
discussed the reconstruction of national roads, namely the ‘Taldykorgan-Oskemen’
and ‘Karagandy-Balkhash’ routes at a government meeting. Smailov emphasized the
importance of timely and high-quality completion of major projects as well as
highlighted the need for monitoring winter road maintenance to ensure driver
safety. The parties also considered the possibility of CITIC Construction’s
participation in other road projects in Kazakhstan and the company’s
initiatives to launch investment projects in the industrial and agricultural
sectors. According to the Prime Minister, the relevant projects will receive
the necessary support from central government authorities.
