Kazakhstan will expand the use of new digital technologies and artificial intelligence in the work of government agencies, as announced by the country’s Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov during an off-site government meeting. Bektenov emphasized the importance of creating a digital environment to stimulate economic growth and focused on developing unified approaches to ensure data accessibility in government information systems for further use and AI development. He instructed the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovations and Aerospace Industry, in collaboration with relevant agencies and regional administrations, to develop measures supporting enterprises that implement and adopt digital technologies and neural networks. Additionally, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education was tasked with creating educational programs and courses on AI, which will be used to train government employees throughout 2025.
«The Head of State emphasizes that digital transformation in public administration should contribute to changes in social life and the economy. Neural networks enable us to forecast, prevent, and proactively respond to potential risks and emergencies. As part of the ongoing digital transformation, efforts should also be directed toward integrating new digital solutions. All this work will continue within the AI Development Concept until 2029 and the new Law on Artificial Intelligence,» Bektenov noted.
