Kazakh film
«Happy Independence Day» by Camila Sagyntkan won the Best Short Film category
at the sixth Eurasian Creative Guild Film Festival in London. This is the only
platform in the UK dedicated to promoting the cinema of Eurasian countries,
which attracted nearly 100 movies from 22 countries this year.
«The
highlight of our short film is that we had a great crew consisting of my
friends who were really interested in the idea. Besides, the film featured a
wonderful famous actor who generously agreed to participate in the shooting
almost for free. And I think the film’s concept is successful, as it was very
well received in Eastern Europe. The premiere took place in Poland, and we also
recently visited Germany,» said Sagyntkan.
