One more international award in the treasury of Kazakh cinema. The domestic film “Akyn” directed by Darezhan Omirbayev won an award at a film festival in Brazil. The film was recognized as “Best Movie” in the “Other Views” category. Seven more films from 10 countries were presented in this category. These were both new films and already famous ones, which had received awards at film festivals before. “Akyn” is expected to be screened at the Georges Pompidou Center museum of modern art in Paris. The best movies of Berlin film festival will be shown in the capital of France from June 10 until June 26.
