Kazakh companies are actively
negotiating on the platform of the Chinese International Import Expo, which opens
access to the largest promising market in China. Kazakhstan is an honored guest
of the international event, which facilitates the establishment of business
contacts both with large companies and enterprises from the provinces. In
general, more than 130 domestic companies have participated in the Chinese
exhibition over the past years. They concluded profitable export contracts
worth over $260 million. Apart from Kazakhstan, the exhibition featured
national expositions of 69 countries.
“Open China is, first of all, a good
opportunity for SMEs in our countries to supply their goods and become
successful trading partners. Numerous interesting projects are now being
implemented, including not only mining, oil and gas industries but also other
sectors of the economy, such as the agriculture and deep processing of
agricultural goods. I believe that in addition to enabling trade and transport
connectivity, the Belt and Road Initiative will also provide a good opportunity
to export Kazakh goods in the future,” said Nurlan Kulbatyrov, Deputy General
Director of ‘QazTrade’ Center for Trade Policy Development.
