The Central Election Commission summarized the final results of the candidates’ registration for the Mazhilis and Maslikhats. Thus, 609 candidates were nominated in the 29 single-member territorial constituencies for the elections to the Lower House of Parliament. Of these, 79 were from political parties, five were from public associations, and 525 were self-nominated. Also, 10,288 candidates are running for 3,081 parliamentary seats in the Maslikhats. It bears reminding that 69 Mazhilis members are also elected from party lists. The CEC registered seven political parties with 281 candidates for the elections, the largest number being from the Amanat party - 90, from the Ak Zhol Democratic Party - 54, from the People's Party of Kazakhstan - 52, from the Auyl People’s Democratic Patriotic Party - 25, from the Respublica - 23, from the Nationwide Social Democratic Party - 19, and from the Baitak Green Party - 18 people. It is worth noting that the election campaign has kicked off in Kazakhstan.
