President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, who is also the Supreme
Commander-in-Chief of Kazakhstan’s Armed Forces, received Minister of Defense
Dauren Kossanov. The Head of State was briefed on the ministry’s activities for
the first half of the year. Kossanov reported on efforts to enhance troop
mobility, develop air defense, territorial forces, unmanned aerial vehicle
units, and military infrastructure. President Tokayev was also informed about
the army’s combat readiness and the outcomes of the spring conscription
campaign. He set a number of tasks aimed at further strengthening the combat
potential of the Armed Forces.
