Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met today with Kanat
Nurov, Ombudsperson for the Protection of Entrepreneurs’ Rights, who reported
on the results of last year’s work. As a result of favorable decisions on
entrepreneurs' appeals, the total amount of losses prevented for businesses
exceeded 20 billion tenge. The country is also paying close attention to
eliminating administrative barriers for businesses, and several proposals were
presented during the meeting. In conclusion, President Tokayev instructed that
efforts continue to address systemic issues as part of the Entrepreneurship
Protection Strategy.

The Head of State also received Bolat Akchulakov, Chairman
of Kazakhstan’s Investors Association. Akchulakov presented proposals for
launching a National Responsible Business Ranking in the country. The meeting
addressed a range of issues, including the modernization of the tax system,
competition policy, and reform of the public procurement system. The discussion
also covered the implementation of digital solutions and artificial
intelligence technologies in public
administration.
