Today, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held meetings
with representatives of Turkish businesses. The Head of State was briefed on
YDA Holding’s investment activities in Kazakhstan. The diversified Turkish
group is working on three projects involving the construction and operation of multi-specialty
hospitals in Turkistan, Astana, and Petropavl. The company also plans to soon
begin expanding its multi-specialty production and constructing a sandwich
panel manufacturing plant in Astana. Another strategic project by YDA Holding
is the establishment of a multimodal transit hub in Aktau. The Head of State
also met with the leadership of S Sistem Lojistik, which is building a
logistics hub in Aktobe. According to the company, the construction is
proceeding on schedule, and the facility is expected to be commissioned next
year. President Tokayev emphasized the importance of comprehensive development
of logistics infrastructure, which will help reduce transit times and improve
export capabilities. The agro-industrial complex is also attracting interest
from Turkish businesses. For instance, Tiryaki Holding plans to build a plant
for deep processing of wheat and peas in Astana. The Head of State welcomed the
initiative of the business representatives. The project will contribute to the
development of Kazakhstan’s processing industry, the introduction of modern
technologies, and the improvement of local specialists’ qualifications.
