A monograph by Mukhtar Auezov about the famous Kyrgyz epic Manas was published again. It is known that the author repeatedly edited and revised the first version of the work released in 1934. There is no doubt that this publication will help researchers of the work of the Kazakh scientist. The collection ‘Akhmet Baitursynuly and Alash’ was also presented at the conference ‘Consonance of the Great’, which was held by the International Turkic Academy in Almaty. It includes selected articles of his contemporaries, as well as representatives of subsequent generations.
“We know that the 150th anniversary of Akhmet Baitursynuly is officially included in the calendar of UNESCO observances. With international organizations we will hold events dedicated to this date throughout the year in different cities and countries. The first was already held in Almaty. Today we brought together two anniversaries not by chance: once a 25-year-old novice playwright Mukhtar Auezov made a brilliant report in honor of the 50th anniversary of the People’s Teacher and linguist Akhmet Baitursynuly,” said Darkhan Kydyrali, President of the International Turkic Academy.
