Innovative capsule houses for rescuers have been installed
in the mountains of the Almaty region. One is located at the Kumbelsu
hydrological observation post in the Ulken Gorge, and the other in the Batan
area of Turgen. These houses are designed to improve the working conditions of
emergency service personnel operating at an altitude of 2,000 meters in
hard-to-reach areas. Rescuers conduct round-the-clock monitoring there during
periods of flooding and mudflow activity in the region’s mountains. Each capsule
house is equipped with autonomous heating, lighting, and insulation adapted to
the local environmental conditions.
«We received these from socially responsible entrepreneurs
who donated the two capsule houses to the rescue fund. In the past, we would
close off these gorges for weeks during the winter. Many tourists and
vacationers complained that they simply couldn’t get through. We have now
strengthened patrols, increased surveillance, expanded aerial monitoring, and stepped
up preventive efforts in avalanche-prone areas,» noted Kazakh Minister for
Emergency Situations Chingis Arinov.
