Gas production in Kazakhstan will increase by 40 percent in the next ten years. According to expert estimates, the country will produce at least 70 billion cubic meters of gas per year. Half of it will be returned to the reservoir. It is done in order to maintain the reservoir pressure of the fields. Of the 27 billion cubic meters of processed gas, more than 17 billion are supplied to the domestic market, with the rest being exported. Overall, gas consumption has increased in recent years. Over the past five years, the use of commercial gas in Kazakhstan has increased by 63 percent.
