The first graduation ceremony of the International School of
Journalism - a joint initiative of the TV and Radio Complex of the Kazakh
President and Maqsut Narikbayev University (MNU) - took place in Astana. A
total of 25 participants completed the school’s unique program, “Journalism:
Analytics and Investigations”. The training combined both theory and hands-on
experience. Lectures were delivered by experts from Al Jazeera and China Media
Group (CMG). The curriculum was structured around four core areas: journalism,
law, economics, and IT, with instruction provided in both Kazakh and Russian.
All graduates completed internships at leading Kazakh media outlets and
developed media projects that were published across 11 different platforms. MNU
currently offers 30 academic programs and ranks among the top institutions for
graduate employment.
