State Counsellor Erlan Karin met with the
leaders of six party factions in the Mazhilis, the Lower House of the Kazakh
Parliament. He expressed his gratitude for their active support in implementing
presidential initiatives within the National Kurultai (Congress). As part of
the implementation of the proposals from the Atyrau meeting, nine laws were
adopted. These include laws on women’s rights and children’s safety, the
introduction of new honorary titles, the regulation of the gambling industry,
and others. Karin emphasized the importance of these laws for building
effective domestic political work. There was also an exchange of views on the key
directions of the domestic political agenda for 2025, as outlined by President
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev in his January interview with the Ana Tili newspaper.
