Farmers receive 171 billion tenge in loans for spring fieldwork

Kazakhstan is preparing for the upcoming spring sowing campaign. The Agrarian Credit Corporation (ACC) has compiled a general pool of applications under the Ken Dala 2 Program, with over 2,000 submissions totaling around 240 billion tenge. The application process began in late November last year, and to date, approximately 1,400 applications worth more than 170 billion tenge have already been financed. Farmers from the Akmola, Kostanai, and Turkistan regions have shown the highest level of activity.

«This year, KazAgroFinance has allocated 200 billion tenge for preferential leasing, with plans to acquire around 5,500 units of agricultural equipment. Currently, 95% of agricultural machinery is ready, with full preparedness expected by the end of March. Additionally, shipments of mineral fertilizers are ongoing, with 63,000 tonnes already delivered,» said Olzhas Tlebaldin, spokesperson for the Kazakh Ministry of Agriculture.

Kazakhstan to allocate 1.5 trillion tenge for agro-industrial development

A total of approximately 1.5 trillion tenge will be allocated for investment projects, spring fieldwork, harvesting, and agricultural machinery leasing through the Agrarian Credit Corporation and KazAgroFinance. According to the relevant ministry, priority in project financing will be given to the processing of agricultural products, expanding irrigated farmland, constructing greenhouses and processing plants, and developing industrial-scale feed production.
