EAEU countries to mutually recognize academic degrees

The Senate, an Upper House of the Kazakh Parliament, ratified an agreement, providing for the mutual recognition of documents on academic degrees in the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). The agreement will allow holders of academic degrees of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), Doctor in Profile, Сandidate and Doctor of Sciences not to undergo national procedures for the recognition of documents. This does not apply to those scientists from the EAEU countries who claim additional benefits for academic degrees.

“The agreement ratification is aimed at strengthening the EAEU labor market by ensuring the free movement of labor resources within the EAEU, as well as creating favorable conditions for citizens of the EAEU member states to access professional activities. The adoption of the law stimulates the exchange of scientific personnel and facilitates the integration of educational systems in the EAEU member countries, which will enhance scientific connections between universities and research institutes,” said Altynbek Nukhuly, Member of the Senate, the Upper House of the Kazakh Parliament.

Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan to cooperate in field of air search

The parties have designated the relevant competent agencies to implement the agreement provisions.

“Helicopter duty has been set up for aviation exercises at 27 airfields and landing sites at the Kazaeronavigatsia. If necessary, the Defense Ministry helicopters, specialists trained according to international standards, and communication facilities operating round-the-clock will be employed for rescue operations. Also, a search and rescue coordination center has been established. Paratrooper groups from the Ministry of Defense and search and rescue teams from the Emergencies Ministry are prepared to conduct search and rescue operations,” said Alisher Satvaldiev, Member of the Senate, the Upper House of the Kazakh Parliament.
