Over 100 innovative projects were presented at the Startups Alley during the Digital Bridge 2023 international technology forum in Astana. The event became a unique chance for developers not only to increase their recognition but also to find potential investors and partners. Digital startups are presented in a wide range of areas, including projects in the fields of educational technology, medicine, agriculture and e-commerce. The variety of innovations that can be useful in the everyday life of a modern city dweller is also surprising. For example, this smart and lightweight scooter was developed by residents of the Astana Hub International Technology Park. It is equipped with computer control system, which makes it safe to use.
“The scooter has its own powerful
brain, which allows it to detect when a user gets on it and pushes off and to maintain
that speed. When a person stops, it will switch off the motor itself. We’re
looking for both investors and partners here for the pilot launch, which
requires about $50,000,” said Ivan Kononov, the Astana Hub resident and startuper.
Aerospace companies already
operating in the domestic market know firsthand that the future lies behind the
development of high technologies, one of which uses digital twins to conduct
3-D mapping of the area. The obtained 3-D images enable visualization of the
terrain, which is used in urban planning and various agglomeration studies.
“All the products are new, and we
are constantly improving them. We have developed a digital aerial suspension,
which enables carrying out shooting from an airplane. Afterward, this is all
used in our geoportal, followed by online publishing. The main goal is to digitize
the city and create so-called digital twins with the use of IT services. We
have been working on a digital twin technology for more than five years,” said Baglan
Kaziyev, the director general of the aerospace company.
