Kazakhstan and China are planning to implement a number of joint projects in the mining industry, namely exploration, mining, beneficiation and deep processing of ore. The parties considered the prospects for investment cooperation as part of the Kazakh-Chinese Business Council in Beijing, during which entrepreneurs from China were also introduced to the benefits that Kazakhstan provides for foreign investors. Chinese business representatives, in their turn, offered various models of cooperation, spoke about the projects being implemented abroad and about their technological and financial developments.
“China has been developing non-ferrous metallurgy for many years. To date, we are taking the first place in the world in terms of technologies and equipment in exploration, mining, smelting and beneficiation of ore. Therefore, our countries complement each other perfectly. China has already implemented several investment projects in Kazakhstan, for example, in the production of aluminum and copper. We export our equipment and technologies to Kazakhstan that helps reduce the production cost,” said Jia Mingxing, Secretary General, China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association.
