Border town opened in Astana to teach schoolchildren military skills

The first border town was opened in Astana. A unique training facility has been established at the Batyrlar military-patriotic center, where schoolchildren will receive training that could lead them to pursue a future in the military. The idea to build a specialized town was supported by the National Security Committee. As a result, the site now includes a border tower, a control strip, and the state emblem of Kazakhstan.

«We aim to recruit two combat training instructors, one instructor for educational work, one for tactical medicine, and the head of the military-patriotic center. It is planned to attract around 200 students who aspire to become officers, dedicate themselves to military service, or simply prepare for army service. We are well-equipped to accommodate and train them at a high level,» said Amanzhol Orazbayev, reserve colonel of the National Security Committee of Kazakhstan.

There are a lot of young people willing to learn the intricacies of border service and become defenders of the Fatherland. Aidina Nurgali admits that it was her dream to study in such a place.

«It has long been my dream and goal. I came here to find my place in life. At first, it was hard. But then I got used to it and prepared myself. I believe that if a person has a sense of patriotism, he or she will start absorbing new knowledge and skills,» said Nurgali.

In the future, other ministries and agencies are also planning to open towns in the Batyrlar center, in particular, the Defense Ministry, the Interior Ministry, and the National Guard. Appropriate land plots have already been allocated for this purpose.
