184 Kazakh citizens have become
Bolashak scholarship recipients to pursue master’s and doctoral studies at
leading global universities as announced at a regular meeting of the National
Commission on personnel training abroad chaired by Kazakhstan’s State
Counsellor Erlan Karin. As part of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev’s
instruction on the development of Kazakh science, the issue of domestic
scientists undertaking internships at leading global research centers was
discussed. The State Counsellor stressed the need to ensure equal distribution
across all priority fields of domestic science when allocating grants for
scientific internships. Following the meeting, Karin gave specific instructions
for further implementing and improving the competitive selection process for
the Bolashak international scholarship and scientific internship programs.
