Astana hosts unique exhibition as part of Kyrgyzstan’s Days of Culture

Etudes, abstraction, still lifes. A unique art exhibition from the collection of the Gapar Aitiyev Kyrgyz National Museum of Fine Arts has opened in the Kazakh capital. The exposition is presented as part of the Days of Culture of Kyrgyzstan, which take place in Kazakhstan. It includes more than 50 works by 20 of the most famous artists of the neighboring country. Most of the displayed works are created in the genre favoured by Kyrgyz artists – landscape painting. Some of the works reflect the national identity, the history of the country’s development, and the cultural peculiarities of the Kyrgyz people.

“I would be happy to witness such cultural exchanges between our brotherly nations more often because it brings us closer together. Most importantly, it educates young people. They should know history and where culture comes from. Tomorrow there will be more concert performances and many other events. More than 350 people have come, and all of them are our well-known cultural figures,” shared People’s Artist of Kyrgyzstan Taalaibek Usubaliyev.
