South Korea will invest up to $30
million in the medical sphere of Almaty city. The metropolis is expected to
become a regional hub of the leading South Korean group of medical companies in
Central Asia. This was stated during the working trip of Almaty Mayor Yerbolat
Dossayev to Seoul, where he met with South Korean representatives of the
medical fund and medical company. The parties discussed the prospects of
implementation of a number of joint projects, including the construction of a
new clinic and the modernization of clinical laboratories. Also, in terms of
the method of managing a clinic and medical examination center at the level of
primary health care, the South Korean health care model is due to be introduced
in the country. Besides, South Korean specialists will help their Kazakh
counterparts streamline registration data processing as well as enhance
self-diagnostic devices and telemedicine.
