A digital platform for monitoring the sowing campaign has been developed in Kazakhstan and is currently operating in pilot mode. In the future, artificial intelligence will be integrated into the system to analyze data and forecast crop yields. The digitalization of the agricultural sector and the implementation of agrotechnological measures were discussed today at a government meeting.
«Digital tools must be applied at every stage of agricultural production – from planning and process monitoring to accounting and the sale of finished products. We have previously reviewed examples of the successful application of such solutions and artificial intelligence in agriculture. It is necessary to scale up successful practices across the sector,» said Kazakh Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov.
Additionally, the Prime Minister instructed that
water-saving technologies in agriculture be more actively implemented. At a
government meeting, it was also noted that at least 750 billion tenge is
planned to be allocated this year for spring field and harvesting work, which
is five times more than in 2023. The total sown area in the country this year
stands at around 24 million hectares.
